Get Ready this Christmas 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

        We are now in the third book in the series of local testimonies showing to our contempories that God is still real today.

        This time, "PRECIOUS IN HIS EYES" focuses on celebrities -- Miau-Miau, Joanne Yeoh, Rao Yan Ting, Alan Yun, Lavin Seow, Cecilia Yap, Victor Gee, Chor Meng and Nell Ng. 

        The book is written in a style that is familiar to the ordinary person in the street who would pick up a magazine to read stories of the favourite movie stars or artists. It is not to "glorify" anyone, except Christ who works in the lives of these celebrities. Some of them have been very willing to bare their vulnerabilities, because it is in their weakness that they find God's grace is often sufficient for them. 

        The books will be ready for Christmas. As usual we will try to price the book at the same price, but since the first and second books were published, everything has gone up. Yet, we will try not to up the price. The idea is so that you can support by ordering  more copies of the book to give away to prebelievers. Each book will be around RM13, bearing in mind that with our lower ringgit, the cost of imported paper has also gone up, and people working on layout, graphic illustration, and other costs have gone up. The retail price at the shop will be about RM21 per copy, bearing in mind that it is for the purchase of only one book. Bookshops have their own cost structure. 

        At the same time, we are also hoping to produce the Chinese translation of the book as well. You can once again participate in the project because my two other co-authors, OC Yeoh and Ee-Tan Chow are willing to give away our copyrights for the Chinese translation so that the book can be produced at the lowest price possible. Our bread and butter would come mainly from the English version to sustain ourselves and to keep on working on this book ministry.

  I have written a number of books. Some of these books are still sold in the bookshops; others are already out of print.           Some books, especially the biographies, are written for people whose families prefer not to make the books available to the general public.           "God loved my father" is one of the first books that I wrote. It tells the story of how my father suffered from cancer of the lungs. This was published back in 1998.           Later, I was approached to put together another book, "True Malaysian Ghost Stories." The publisher collected stories from people across the country. Most of these stories were put together by people who were not writers. I had to type the story and re-write everything. I did this job for only RM500! It was just for the experience of producing a book.
