Here comes Sam...

Dear Pastors, Principals of Private Schools and Campus Youth Group Leaders

I am trying to help Sam Kian Sang sell the book I wrote about his life, which was completed just before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The project was commissioned by Pastor Phua Seng Tiong, with layout and printing generously sponsored by Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai. Essentially, Bro Chun Wai wanted to support Sam in earning a living through the sale of these books.

To my surprise, Sam still has around 2,000 copies left. Although they are priced affordably—within reach even for students—I have suggested that he give more talks in churches and youth groups to reach a wider audience.

Churches could also consider purchasing both the English and Mandarin editions to distribute to pre-believers a few weeks prior to his sharing session. That way, when the event approaches, members can invite their pre-believing friends by saying, “Remember the book I gave you? Now come and hear the real story in person.”

It’s important for young people to understand:

(a) Drug abuse can destroy their future. When they enter university, newfound freedom can easily spiral into destructive choices -- a nighmare, in short -- that impact both themselves and their families.

(b) Once arrested, they could face sentences as long as Sam's—twenty-seven years behind bars at Kajang prison. It could have been a lifetime imprisonment if he had not received the royal pardon. 

I sincerely hope your church or youth group will consider inviting Sam to share his testimony. His story is a powerful cautionary tale—and one that might just save lives.
